Death Slowly

Causation

The due factor in a wise man’s demise

To find out of thine clue to lead to the well and its mysterious depths

Slithering along

No choice down here

We escape the walls and penetrate the tunnels

Once hidden behind a veil

To wanderers we are in horror

To the things lurking in these depths we call silently with our breath

Thinking…

No direction

And we find at the final cavern

A cross of bones

Written in inky blood

The fear that one man once had for his home and his time

On this here Earth, wandering like all wanderers

Separate, disparate, and alone

Dragged down to the cliffside and let shown the sea

As his home anew

Once buried lightly

Again, in stone
